Photo side/front side:
Two black-and-white photographs, one of Tokyo Station Hotel's dining room and one of Tokyo Station Hotel's exterior appearance, are printed on the surface. Two red rose blossoms and two red rose buds are sketched between the two photographs with glinting silvery ink. On the top of the card, graffiti of a man riding a horse is printed in glinting golden ink.

Curatorial Note

The Tokyo Station Hotel is in the Tokyo Central Station. It was opened in 1915 and decorated in the European style that displayed splendid architecture and state-of-the-art facilities to thousands of foreign guests. Overall, the hotel embodied Japan's social and cultural globalization and modernization efforts in the early 20th century.
